The General Meeting of Founders of the Coordination Center for .RU/.РФ was held on October 30.
Participants listened to and approved the report for 9 months of this year presented by the Center’s Director Andrey Vorobyev, and also agreed on the financial and work plans for the upcoming 2024. It was also decided, after the discussion, to extend the powers of Andrey Vorobyev, the Center's Director for the next three years.
Also during the meeting, information and financial reports of organizations established by the Coordination Center - ANO "Center for Global IT Cooperation" and ANO "Center for Monitoring and Protection of Rights in the Digital Environment" for the first half of 2023 were heard and taken into account. In addition, it was decided to further finance the Network Initiatives Support Fund “Smart Internet”, also established by the Coordination Center.
The GMF participants also considered a number of other financial and administrative issues.
Let us remind you that the General Meeting of Founders is the supreme governing body of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ. The founders of the Coordination Center are currently the Russian Federation, the functions and powers on behalf of which are carried out by Roskomnadzor, the Regional Public Organization "Center for Internet Technologies" (ROCIT), the NGO "Association of Documentary Telecommunications" (RANS), the ANO "Russian Institute For Public Networks" (RIPN) and ANO "Internet Development Institute" (IDI).
