On October 20, members of the Youth Council of the Coordination Center visited the Museum of the Bank of Russia and learned many interesting facts about the history of the national currency. The excursion was called “Russian Ruble: Milestones of History.”
Museum guide Tatyana Grekova spoke about the history of the Russian currency, as well as how Arab and Old Russian coins are related to each other, why pieces were cut off from the hryvnia, why money was sewn onto clothes, and why women’s profiles on coins were minted more often than men’s.
After the excursion, participants were given the opportunity to test their knowledge in a competition. The most erudite received well-deserved prizes!
Earlier, on October 18, as part of cooperation with the Bank of Russia Museum, legal adviser of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, Ekaterina Evteeva, gave a lecture to Museum employees on the main issues related to intellectual property. During the lecture, listeners immersed themselves in the history of the emergence and regulation of intellectual property, became acquainted with the main objects of copyright and the peculiarities of using other people's results of intellectual activity, and also talked about the use of objects from the museum collection.
