In September, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Center for Technical Education of the Moscow Palace of Pioneers on Vorobyovy Gory (Sparrow Hills) (State Budget Professional Educational Institution “Vorobyovy Gory”) signed a cooperation agreement.
The agreement involves organizing and conducting thematic events in the field of Internet Governance, increasing digital literacy and improving skills for the safe use of Internet technologies, in particular, competitions, career guidance programs, practice-oriented master classes, creative meetings, etc. The events will be organized for Moscow students and teachers and are aimed at drawing attention to ICT areas of development of science, social sphere and industry of the city, as well as to the active and at the same time effective use of digital technologies.
The first joint project will be an excursion for high school students to the Data Processing Center (DPC) of REG.RU, an accredited registrar in the national Russian domains .RU and .РФ. The data center is located on the territory of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone. On the excursion, the children will get acquainted with the structure of the data center, as well as how the technical and physical security of the data stored in it is organized. Quiz “Study the Internet & Govern It!” will be organized for the participants at the end of the event.
