On September 21-22, 2023, the Russian Research Institute of Economics, Politics and Law in Science and Technology (RIEPL) hosted the II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Development of the Scientific Potential of Russia”, as well as Glushkov Scientific Readings “Digital Management of Science as Instrument for Economic Development”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician Glushkov.
The conference discussed issues related to the digitalization of scientific research and the role of AI in solving practical problems within the framework of the Glushkov Scientific Readings, as well as the development of scientific and technological infrastructure for collective use and the formation of a model of science management in the regions.
Academician Glushkov V.M. was the initiator and scientific director of the ll-Union Research Institute of Organization and Management (VNIIPOU), on the basis of which RIEPL was subsequently created.
Olga Viktorovna Kitova (Glushkova), Head of Department of Informatics, Director of the Center for Cognitive Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics made a report “Academician Glushkov V.M. - a Pioneer of Computer Science and Cybernetics, an Ideologist of the Digital State,” during the plenary session
Coordination Center in the year of the 100th anniversary of Academician Glushkov V.M. supports and holds anniversary events dedicated to this date. These include press conferences, round tables, and participation in commemorative events. In June, the magazine “Internet from Inside” published an article about Glushkov "The Man Who Invented the MIR". Also in 2023, the Academy of Innovative Education and Development, with the support of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, is holding an All-Russian competition of professional excellence among teaching staff, education specialists and mentors named after Viktor Mikhailovich Glushkov “The Teacher who Conquered the Internet.”
