The new composition of the Youth Council of the Coordination Center has begun its work. 26 young professionals joined the Council this year, and on September 1st, both the old and new compositions gathered at the Center's office.
“It’s great to see so many interested young people here! I am sure that the Youth Council will be a good start for you to dive into the field of Internet Governance. Many participants are already familiar with it from participating in previous Council meetings or studying at the Summer School on Internet Governance,” Director of the Coordination Center” Andrey Vorobyev greeted the participants.
Chairman of the Youth Council Andrey Aleynikov summed up the work of the Council over the past year. “Sometimes it can feel like most of the activity happens in the fall, when there are a lot of events and conferences. But when summing up the results, it is clear that throughout the year we are actively working on various projects, participating in specialized events and even organizing our own.” Our immediate plans for the fall include organizing our own sessions at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Kyoto.
The Youth Council has been functioning on a voluntary basis since 2018. The new composition of the Youth Council included students, graduate students, university teachers and representatives of various companies and government bodies. Members of the Council take part in initiatives related to the development of national domains .RU and .РФ and their technological infrastructure, as well as social and educational projects.
