An online conference "Custom software development 2023", organized by CNews Conferences, was held on July 4. The conference was attended by specialists from Russian software manufacturers. They discussed the results of the development of the custom software development market in 2022, the effects of the departure of large international companies, the impact of sanctions restrictions on the export of Russian software, and overcoming the shortage of cadre in the development market. Pparticipants talked about the demand for PaaS platforms for developers, Agile development, technical support for implemented products, gave successful examples of entering the international market and also about their implementation experience.
Vadim Mikhailov, consultant for Infrastructure of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, spoke about the history and development of IDNs in Russia and the world, the principles of Universal Acceptance, and how software developers should take into account the global processes of internationalization of domain names and email addresses.
Vadim Mikhailov shared examples of successful implementation of support for Cyrillic IDNs and EAI mail addresses in domestic software and spoke about the support provided by the “Поддерживаю.РФ” project to software developers.
“To implement support for IDNs and e-mail addresses in the national language, there is already everything you need - the current Internet standards and software tools, ranging from libraries to entire services,” Vadim Mikhailov said.
