The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has created a version of its website for visually impaired users.
Users can change the main elements on the page such as the size and type of font, background color, spacing, and disable images. The version for the visually impaired was developed in accordance with GOST standard R-52872-2019.
This special version of the website provides comfortable reading for other users who use devices with a small screen. The website content and the functionality of all pages has been maintained, with layout being the only difference.
“We tried to ensure accessibility to all our resources for visually impaired people and make our projects and services inclusive. So, the website of our security program, Domain Patrol, has recently been adapted for use by the visually impaired, as has the mobile app, Explore the Internet & Govern It project, which even has a special game module for such people. The adaptation of the website and making it accessible to people with limited vision is an important step towards making the internet accessible to all users, and the Coordination Center will continue working in this direction,” Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Andrey Vorobyev said.
