Call for Applications for the Summer School on Internet Governance Now Open

The acceptance of applications for studying in the fourth Summer School on Internet Governance has started. Students, PhDs, young teachers and researchers, as well as specialists in various fields interested in the subject of Internet Governance are invited to take part in the School. Applications are accepted until July 12. To do so you should fill out a form on the School website.

Education is free. Subject to successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of additional education issued by St. Petersburg State University (SPBU).

Classes will be held online, in several stages:

  • July 19 - August 2 - the Preparatory Stage, at which the School participants will attend an introductory course on Internet Governance to immerse themselves in the global context of the topic;
  • August 5-12 - the Main Stage, which involves the interaction of participants with experts in the field of Internet Governance during thematic lectures. Among the topics of the upcoming discussions: "Digital Technologies of the Future (Artificial Intelligence)", "Global Digital Compact", "General Principles Of An Open, Free And Secure Digital Future For All";
  • August 19-24 - Final Assessment: team work of participants on topical issues of Internet Governance, preparation of an analytical essay.

The Internet Governance Summer School is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ in cooperation with the Faculty of International Relations of St. Petersburg State University and is part of the Schools on Internet Governance (SIG) global movement.

The main objective of the School is to immerse students in current issues of Internet Governance and digital cooperation at the global and regional level, as well as to develop skills for full participation in the activities of international organizations, thematic conferences and discussions on these topics.
