The Submission Round Of The Competition For Beginner Internet Journalists “Dot-Journalism. Junkors" Opens

On May 25, the 5th competition for novice Internet journalists and bloggers “DOT-Journalism. Junkors" has been started during the Russian Internet Forum (RIF 2023).

The purpose of the competition is to increase the Runet users’ level of digital literacy, as well as the professional and high-quality level of journalistic work about the Internet and digital technologies.

Students of schools and colleges and applicants under 18 years are invited to participate.

Articles, essays, video or audio podcasts, photo reports, interviews, infographics, longreads on one of the following topics are accepted for the competition:

  • IT teacher | Discussion on how a teacher uses the Internet and digital technologies in his work and to improve his own level of cyber literacy
  • Technologies in education | What digital technologies and, most importantly, how do they help us learn and develop?
  • RU .vs .РФ | Which of these domains I do choose for my project on the Internet, and why
  • Russian language on the Internet | Where does it “live”, by whom and how is it used, how will it change under the influence of new digital technologies

To submit a work for the competition, you need to fill out the application form before November 1, 2020. Entries must be created and/or published between June 1 and November 1, 2023. The number of works submitted by one author or group of authors is not limited.

The winners of the competition will be determined by a jury, which will include representatives of Russian and international organizations involved in the management and development of the Internet infrastructure, as well as recognized industry experts and journalists who have previously won the DOT Journalism competition.

The results will be summed up in December as part of the Runet Prize. The winners will be awarded diplomas and valuable prizes - gadgets that will be useful for self-development and study.

The competition was traditionally organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), REG.RU and the Smart Internet Foundation (.ДЕТИ).
