The III Youth Internet Governance Forum, organized by the Center for Global IT-Cooperation with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, was held in Moscow in the Digital Business Space on May 12, the birthday of the .РФ. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has become a partner of the Forum.

First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko in his welcoming speech emphasized the role of Russia in international IT cooperation and the development of the youth movements and volunteer initiatives. The Forum hosted the presentation of two awards - "For a Safe Digital Childhood", established by the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment, and "Digitalization for Good" from the Youth Digital Ombudsman. The main award of the award "Digitalization for Good" was received by the educational project of the Coordination Center "Study the Internet & Govern It!" for his contribution to raising the level of digital literacy of citizens and popularizing lawful behavior in the digital space.

Also, Maxim Naydenov, who presented the "R.Olympiads" project, a platform for aggregating information about academic competitions in Russia, as well as generating tracks for preparing for them, and Anastasia Bragina, the "Infoguru" project, the purpose of which is to develop an educational, gaming and diagnostic environment for students, parents and all interested parties to determine digital addiction, develop skills to identify information threats and resist them.

Along with the business program there was a fan zone with master classes and interactive platforms as part of the Forum. During the break before the sections, the stand of the Coordination Center hosted the "Study the Internet & Govern It!" quiz dedicated to the history of the development of Runet. The Forum also hosted a master class by the Coordination Center "The State And Development Of The Russian Language On The Internet: How To Take Into Account The Language Preferences Of Users", which was held by the chief analyst of the Center Maria Kolesnikova. The participants discussed the technological aspects of the Universal Acceptance of domain names and e-mail addresses written in national alphabets, and learned how the world's largest Cyrillic domain .РФ helps in the preservation and development of the Russian language on the Internet.

“Today is the birthday of the .РФ. In such honor, the Coordination Center held a quiz "Study the Internet & Govern It!" and a master class on the development of the Russian language on the Internet. The audience learned how the world's largest Cyrillic domain .РФ contributes to the preservation and development of the Russian language in the global network, and actively answered the quiz questions, demonstrating their extensive knowledge in the field of IT technologies and the development of the Runet. It's nice to see that the once zero day of the big RIGF has turned into a separate large-scale industry forum that attracts talented young people. As it was already said at the closing of the Russian Internet Governance Forum, such events are held so that everyone’s voice can be heard, and Youth RIGF helps to hear the voice of the younger generation,” Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center, summed up the Forum.
