School Press Days, which was participated by 52 school media associations from 18 cities and towns, more than 420 people, were held in Moscow from April 9 to 16. The main events of the School Press Days were the Press Park, the Congress of Editors-in-Chief and the Big Game, in which the participants got acquainted with modern professions in practice and presented TV reports on mastering one of them to the jury. The 22nd All-Russian Competition of School Publications and the School Media Marathon 2023 winners were awarded at the conclusion of the Days of the School Press, which included cultural activities for youths.
The Marathon was attended by 230 school editorial offices from 78 cities and 41 regions of Russia: all of them actively use modern media technologies to produce content - reports, video and audio podcasts, longreads, infographics. 74 editions from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ivanovo, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Penza, Rostov, Sverdlovsk, Tver and Chelyabinsk, Perm and Krasnodar Regions became the winners.
The organizers of the events are the news agency of the school press "NASHpress" together with the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin and with the information support of the Public Television of Russia (OTR). The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, which became a partner of the events, also awarded the winners of the Marathon in the nomination "IT Reporter".
"Today, almost every journalist can be called an IT reporter, because everyone tries to use digital technologies in their work - for editing, recording video or sound, preparing content. It's nice to see so many enthusiastic, creative young people here, at School Press Days, who use the Internet not only for leisure, but also for education, and also as part of their professional activities, - Viktoria Bunchuk, head of social projects of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, greeted the winners of the Marathon from the stage. – We congratulate you on your victory and wish you creative success!
