The winners of the 2nd All-Russian photo contest “Фотодомен.РФ” have been announced. The competition was held by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of REG.RU, RU-CENTER and RF.RU registrars.
This year, the competition started on May 12, the birthday of the .РФ, and the first contestants were RIF 2022 participants who were invited to the “Фотодомен.РФ” quest. The quest was attended by over 40 people who sent over 80 photos. The most creative shots are presented in the “RIF Creatiff” special nomination of the “Фотодомен.РФ” contest.

The Audience Award was won by Violeta Kapustina for a collage with adorable guinea pigs and the domain of the pet store миргрызунов.рф.
The winners were congratulated by Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, and Andrey Aleinikov, Curator of the Competition, PR Specialist of the Center.
“We are pleased with the results of the competition and the creative approach of our participants to photographs. The purpose of the competition is to popularize the .РФ domain, to demonstrate the possibilities of using Cyrillic domain names. As part of the competition, we held an interesting quest at RIF 2022, which was liked by the forum participants, and in the end, this category ended up with the largest number of photos. The competition once again showed a wide audience the .РФ domain it has and that various projects exist in this domain zone,” Andrey Vorobyev commented on the results of the “Фотодомен.РФ” competition.
“This year we have already held the second contest of photos with domain names. More than a thousand works were sent to it - an excellent result. True, a lot of works did not meet the conditions of the competition - there were no domains on them, and therefore much fewer photos were allowed before voting. But, in the end, we are holding this contest so that more and more people learn what a domain is!”, Andrey Aleinikov shared his impressions of the results of the contest.

We would like to remind you that prior to participation in the competition, photos depicting domain names in the .РФ zone were allowed, and the real use of the domain was a prerequisite.

In addition, according to the results of the voting of the audience, we have the winner, who will receive the “People's Choice Award”.
The experts chose the five-best works in each nomination, after which the jury members, which included representatives of the Coordination Center, RU-CENTER, the Internet Technical Center (TCI), RF.RU and MSK-IX, selected the three best participants in each nomination, received prizes.
In total, 1081 photos were sent to the contest, but only 146 of them were allowed, since the rest of the works, unfortunately, did not comply with the rules of the contest, one of the main conditions of which was the presence of a domain name in the .РФ zone on the photo.
