The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.PФ has finished submission round for its primary domain photo competition “Фотодомен.рф.”
This year, around 500 images were submitted to the competition overall, and 146 of those were accepted.
Like the previous year, many people who wanted to enter the contest did not read the criteria carefully enough and submitted images without domains. However, this is not just any photo contest; it is a unique, domain-specific one. This year, the organizing team took into account feedback from the previous competition and added a block to the website explaining what a domain actually is. Separately, it was stressed that the requirement for a photo's admittance to the “Фотодомен.РФ”. However, many excellent and attractive pieces did not make the final cut using this primary competition criterion.
The nomination “Graphics in .РФ” - for digital and paper collages and other graphic marvels - received the most votes this year. Also noteworthy is the “RIF.CREATIFF” special nomination, which was established for images taken by contestants in the “Фотодомен.РФ” challenge that was conducted at the Russian Internet Forum in the spring (RIF 2022).
The participants approached the topic with ingenuity, and now the audience must decide which participants best exemplify “photodomain” creativity.
