The Runet Prize, the oldest and one of the most prestigious awards in the domestic Internet sector, was nominated during a press conference on October 4, 2022, which was hosted at the TASS press center. The speakers of the press conference spoke about the key features of the 2022 Prize, nominations, voting stages. The partner of the special nomination "Travels in .РФ" is the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD RU/.PФ, presented the special nomination "Travels in .PФ " as a part of the Runet Prize in 2022. Companies that have launched the most informative and popular portals about domestic tourism will compete for victory in this nomination. Portals have to function within the national domain .РФ.
“Two years ago, when the .РФ domain celebrated its 10th anniversary, Rostourism received a statuette with the symbol of the Cyrillic domain .РФ in our special nomination dedicated to the development of the . РФ domain for its мирпутешествий.рф portal. And this year, the Coordination Center has established a new nomination "Travels in .РФ ", in which we will award the best Russian websites dedicated to domestic tourism and located in the .РФ domain zone. In recent years, a lot of such websites have appeared on the Runet, and what is remarkable, it is in the Cyrillic national domain. As noted at the 15th International Conference of Administrators and Registrars of ccTLDs in the CIS countries, Central and Eastern Europe, held at the end of September, Cyrillic domains today are the most successful of all existing IDNs, and this contributes to the full inclusion of new Internet users in the network. The development of the Cyrillic alphabet in the Internet space, including in the Internet addressing system, as well as the rapid development of domestic tourism (not without the help of Internet technologies) are the main trends that our special nomination highlights,” Andrey Vorobyev said.
Traditionally, the Runet Prize will be awarded in the main and special nominations, as well as in the People's vote, where the best will be determined by users. You can nominate a company or organization that has made a significant contribution to the development of the Internet industry in Russia in 2021-2022 right now on the official website until November 15.
The cost of submitting one application in the main and special nominations is 15,000 rubles.
