The Largest Deal In National Domains Since The Beginning Of The Year Concluded

The DN Journal has published another update of the rating of the largest domain transactions, information about which appears in the public domain. Usually such updates are published twice a month, but this time it took three weeks: the author of the resource and the compiler of the rating, Ron Jackson, attended the NamesCon conference held in early September, and could not meet the deadlines that he set for himself.

However, the wait was worth it. The new issue contains a lot of interesting information. In three weeks, 7 transactions were concluded at once for the amount of $100,000 or more. The largest of them was the sale of the CognitiveAutomation.com domain - it changed hands for $260,000. At the same time, initially the buyer and seller agreed on an even larger amount - $300,000, but the payment was supposed to be made in installments over two years. As a result, the buyer found an opportunity to pay immediately, and the seller agreed to reduce the price by $40,000.

Of the other transactions, the purchase of the Vacanze.it domain in the national domain of Italy attracts attention (the word Vacanze means “holidays”, “weekends”). The domain was purchased for $170,000, and this is the largest deal in national domain zones since the beginning of this year. It should also be noted that buyers are increasingly looking to purchase domain names with cryptocurrencies, while sellers remain more conservative and want to receive money in dollars or euros. In these situations, brokers have to resort to the help of special services that provide the conversion of funds. Such services have been used in at least three of the ten largest deals of the past three weeks.
