On August 17, registration of participants for the XI All-Russian online championship "Study the Internet & Govern It" was opened.
Championship for students (under the age of 18) is held by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and Rostelecom with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and the Department of Education and Science of the city of Moscow.
The online championship is going to be held from November 2 to November 22, 2022 on the official website of the игра-интернет.рф project. Registration of participants will last until November 1 inclusive. The announcement of the results is scheduled for December 8.
Participants of the championship will be able to perform both individually and united in school teams. In 60 minutes, they have to complete tasks of different levels of complexity. The main topic this year is “Digital Literacy”, all tasks will be devoted to information, computer, media and communication literacy, future technologies and Internet security. Participants will also be able to receive additional points and prizes for a creative task.
Diplomas and gifts (tablet, smartphone, smart watch, VR-glasses and other valuable prizes) are provided for the first five places in individual and team standings based on the results of two stages. Participants of the online championship who did not win prizes will receive personalized electronic certificates.
“While everyone around is arguing about how safe the metaverses are and how quickly robots will replace us, not all Internet users are familiar with the daily rules of safe behavior in it. Digital literacy has become a basic skill of modern man. Online championship "Study the Internet & Govern It" will help you learn more about modern technologies and understand how the Internet works - a system that each of us, one way or another, encounters every day. Together with useful knowledge, the participants of the championship will receive certificates, and the winners will receive valuable prizes,” said Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
"Study the Internet & Govern It" is a popular social and educational project, the purpose of which is to increase the level of digital literacy. With its help, young users will be able to understand the intricacies of the Internet and digital technologies, become experienced Internet users and learn how to surf the net safely. The project is also designed to arouse the interest of schoolchildren in professions related to digital technologies.
For ten years of the existence of the project "Study the Internet & Govern It" more than 200 thousand students from all regions of Russia have taken part in it.
