The founders of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held their General Meeting on June 29. They discussed the priority areas in the activities (development strategy) of the CC for TLD .RU/.РФ until 2025.
They considered the proposal of one of the Coordination Center founders – the Association of Documentary Telecommunications – to amend the Stability subsection of the Strategy section to facilitate implementation of Presidential Executive Order No. 166 On measures to ensure technological independence and security of critical information infrastructure in the Russian Federation, dated March 30, 2022. It was decided to amend the document based on the proposed version. The updated document is published on the Coordination Center website.
The meeting was used to discuss other issues as well including approval of the report on the Coordination Center's activities in 2021 and restated accreditation rules.
It should be remembered that the General Meeting of Founders is the governing body of the .RU/.РФ Coordinating Center. The founders are currently the Russian Federation, whose powers as a founder are executed by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor); the Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies (ROCIT); the Russian Association of Networks and Services (RANS); the Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN), and the Internet Development Institute (IRI) autonomous nonprofit organization.
