Teachers of Altai are recommended to use the.ДЕТИ domain zone in their work

On June 27, the round table "Information Security: from Global Challenges to Personal Security" was held at the Altai Institute for the Development of Education. The event was attended by experts from the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.

The event was moderated by Olga Rubtsova, Rector of the Academy of Innovative Education and Development, Roskomnadzor expert, member of the Public Council under the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation. "In a situation of information war, it is very important to protect children from negative and inaccurate content. To create a positive information environment today, it is necessary to combine the efforts of the state, society, and parents. Our task is to discuss problems, conduct educational work and engage in advisory expertise," she stressed the relevance of the topic. Olga Rubtsova.

One of the recommendations made at the round table was the use by Altai teachers of the .ДЕТИ domain zone, which accumulates interesting, educational and safe sites for children. Tatyana Novikova, Head of Social Projects at the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, told more about this domain zone and other Center’s projects for sepia and school. “We run social projects for children who are just starting to use the Internet. For example, the flagship project "Study the Internet & Govern It!" consists of an interactive Knowledge portal, a mobile application, local tournaments, an All-Russian Family IT Marathon and an annual All-Russian IT Championship. More than 15,000 students participate in the championships every year, and more than 100 families from 40 Russian regions participate in the family marathon. In total, more than 200,000 users have already joined the project,” said Tatyana Novikova. — The motto of the project is "Digital literacy through play". Students learn to recognize viruses, create passwords, surf the net safely, handle personal data correctly, and more. The project is more than 10 years old, it is useful for developing digital literacy and educating digital hygiene in children.”

In Altai, this project was first presented several years ago at the Kontoshinskaya school of the Kosikhinsky district of the Altai Territory. The school is an innovative platform for information security: the IT-Timurovtsy project is being implemented in it, and school teachers are engaged in the examination of information products for children.

At the end of the round table, the participants discussed informational threats to children and exchanged experiences.
