On April 19, the Union of Women of Russia launched the School of Civic Engagement, which was attended by leaders of women's councils from 58 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, deputies of the State Duma, members of the Federation Council, representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, as well as public figures, leading experts and specialists.
The agenda included the implementation of the national project "Education". Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Tatyana Vasilyeva spoke about the course of its implementation.
Ekaterina Lakhova, Chairman of the Union of Women of Russia, noted that one of the most important activities of the organization is to support social initiatives aimed at implementing national projects in the field of demography, healthcare, education, culture and ecology. The position and role of civil society institutions in modern conditions are of particular importance in improving the quality of education and upbringing of children and the youth.
Director of the Department for the Development of Mass Communications and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Larina paid special attention to the information environment of modern childhood and the formation of positive content in the media and the Internet.
As part of a special discussion platform of the Forum, Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, spoke about the Coordination Center’s activities in the field of social and educational projects aimed at increasing the level of digital literacy of students, their parents and teachers. Tatyana Novikova, project manager of the Coordination Center, spoke about the course of the Family IT Marathon, held by the Coordination Center in cooperation with the Academy of Innovative Education and Development on the basis of the project “Study the Internet & Govern It”. The discussion was also attended by Olga Rubtsova, Rector of the Academy of Innovative Education and Development, Khmaira Zagladina, Head of the Center for Socialization, Upbringing and Further Education of the “Russkoye Slovo” publishing house, etc.
The All-Russian public-state organization "Union of Women of Russia" is a public association created by Russian women who strain after changes for the good of the country, implement social projects to support the family and motherhood, improve the quality of life in their regions, work to strengthen the prestige of women's work and the role women in society. The Women's Union of Russia was founded in 1990. It is the legal successor of the Committee of Soviet Women, the largest women's organization in the Soviet Union.
