The .RU domain remains to be in the top 10 largest top-level domains: the Russian national domain takes 3rd place among European domains, 4th place among national domains and 9th place among all TLDs.
Over the past year, the .RU domain grew by 1.2% (58,795 domain names). 29.2% of domain names in .RU are younger than 1 year, 32% are older than 5 years, but there are very few "oldies", means that such domain names are almost the same age as the .RU domain itself - older than 25 years in the .RU domain in total 728 domain names or 0.01% of all.
The number of accredited domain name registrars has significantly increased: over the year, 29 more companies not only from Moscow, but also from other regions of the country, joined them. A total of 112 accredited registrars now operate on the market.

The number of domain name renewals rises up by almost 3% over the year, and about 72% of .RU domain names are currently being renewed.
