The Seventh Russian Youth Contest on Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law, IP&IT LAW 2022, has been launched. This is an annual contest and is traditionally held under the aegis of such influential international agencies as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The contest was organized by the IP Club and the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.

The contest receives support from the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia, the Court of Intellectual Property Rights, Rospatent and other agencies that are contest partners. They confer on the winners awards and commemorative prizes.

Students, postgraduates, and young specialists who study information technology and intellectual property law are invited to take part. The contest is held online and includes independent written work on one of the 20 themes approved by the IP&IT LAW 2022 organizers. For more details on the themes go to: IP CLUB.

The best works will be published in the Digital Economy Law yearbook, the Court of Intellectual Property Rights journal or the Russian Competitive Law and Economics journal. The winners will receive awards, internships and certificates from the organizers and contest partners.

Applications will be accepted until February 1, 2022. For detailed information go to: IP CLUB.

In 2018, the IP&IT LAW 2022 contest received a Runet prize in a special category for contributing to the development of law in the digital society.
