On August 26, 2021, new versions of the Coordination Center’s regulatory documents, which include the Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ, the Accreditation Agreement, the Requirements for Accredited Registrars, and the Regulation of the Commission on Accreditation Disputes, came into force.
The updated documents were approved by the decision of the Council of the Coordination Center No. 2021-03/11 (Minutes of the Council No. 2021-03 dated July 16, 2021).
The amendments and additions to the documents set out actions in relation to domain names whose administrator has ceased to exist (in the case of the liquidation of a legal entity or the death of an individual), and allow the Coordinator to take actions aimed at ensuring the stability of the domain name registration system in the event of the registrar’s inaction. In addition, the list of information provided by the registration data service (WHOIS) has been supplemented in the Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ. The Regulation of the Commission on Accreditation Disputes also has been updated and amended.
