Explore the Internet & Govern It is a popular social and educational project aimed at increasing digital literacy. It helps people to learn how the internet and digital technologies work, how to become an experienced internet user and how to navigate the web safely. The project is also intended to awaken the interest of schoolchildren in getting jobs related to digital technologies.
“Digital technologies that are rapidly changing the world are not born on their own – people with a special vision are always behind them. The pandemic has enormously boosted the acceleration of the transition of businesses and government agencies to digital technologies, and therefore the need for young personnel capable of developing an innovative economy has become more acute than ever. The younger generation will definitely live in a digital state, which means that in the near future it will not be possible to do without a broad knowledge in the field of digital technologies and internet security,” said Andrey Vorobyev, Director of the Coordination Center. Over a period of the ten years of the project’s existence, over 150,000 schoolchildren from all regions of Russia have taken part in it.
The championship is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and Rostelecom with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Roskomnadzor and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
