Director of the Coordination Center Andrey Vorobyev was interviewed by the Internet User Safety website. He talked about the practice of cancelling domain name delegation and measures to prevent the abuse of the national DNS. He also commented on the possibility of creating a special registrar for government bodies.
Andrey Vorobyev noted that the number of phishing websites had grown and spoke about cooperation with organizations competent at identifying abuse on the internet as well as about the Coordination Center’s special cybersecurity projects, Domain Patrol and Netoscope.
In addition, the Coordination Center director said that the center pushed its boundaries: “There are many experts and many algorithms. It means prevention is more effective and the result is better.”
