New versions of regulatory documents, namely, the Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ, the accreditation agreement, the accreditation requirements and the Regulations of the Commission on Accreditation Disputes, are due to enter into force on August 26, 2021.
The documents have been approved by Resolution No. 2021-03/11 of the Council of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ (the Council’s Protocol No. 2021-03 of July 16, 2021).
The amendments and additions concern actions with regard to domain names whose registrants have ceased to exist (e.g. a legal entity has been liquidated or an individual has passed). They allow the Coordinator to pursue certain action to maintain the stability of the domain registration system if the registrar fails to act. The Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ now also include an extended list of information supplied by the WHOIS service for checking registration data. The Regulations of the Commission on Accreditation Disputes have been updated and extended.
