Exactly nine years ago, on May 23, 2012, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and Rostelecom launched a social and educational project for schoolchildren, Explore the Internet & Govern It. On that day, the first championship was held at the Svyaz-Expocomm-2012 exhibition, and students from Moscow schools took part in it.
The Explore the Internet & Govern It project includes 27 game modules, 28 quiz rounds, a training mobile app and a glossary. Every year, thousands of schoolchildren, teachers and parents take part in the Russian online championship, Explore the Internet & Govern It, and the online tournament, the Russian Family IT Marathon.
The year 2021 will not be an exception: registration for the 10th Explore the Internet & Govern It championship will open in August. It will focus on the digital state.
Currently, over 150,000 schoolchildren, teachers and parents from all regions of Russia use the website. In 2020, 21,500 schoolchildren and students took part in the 9th Explore the Internet & Govern It online championship on digital literacy.

Explore the Internet & Govern It is a social and educational project for schoolchildren, which is run by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of Rostelecom. The project features an educational website that allows users to study the possibilities and principles of the internet in an accessible and fun way, as well as a training mobile app that helps users consolidate their knowledge. The Russian online championship for schoolchildren is held annually as part of the project.
