On May 19-22, the Lesnye Dali resort in the Moscow Region will host the 25th Russian Internet Forum RIF 2021. For years the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has supported the forum and held its events there. This year, the 25th forum, which is the largest in the industry, coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Coordination Center, so a lot of the center’s events there will be related to this date.
There will be a branded tent of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ at the forum located near the main resort building. The tent will have a special zone dedicated to the center’s 20th anniversary where Runet users can join the celebrations.
For RIF 2021 participants, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has prepared a mobile version of its Authorization show. First episodes were published on the Coordination Center’s YouTube channel in the fall of 2020.
Authorization is an entertaining and educational show where two teams compete answering questions about the Runet, ICT and related spheres, telecommunications and everything to do with the internet. There are several rounds where the host tests the participants’ skills.
Visitors will be able to take part in the show on May 20 and 21 at the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ’s tent. Application is required here.
The Coordination Center’s RIF stand (stand B2) will present five registrars accredited in .RU and .РФ, which will talk about their services and hold various quizzes and contests, with prizes for the winners and participants.
Experts from the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ will take part in the forum’s business agenda. On May 20, the Coordination Center’s director will present the report “Russian domain space in 2020: Results and development prospects” during the analytical panel “2021/2022 Numbers and Trends.” He will talk about the most interesting events that happened in the Russian and global domain industry last year.
On this day, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ also invites everyone to the section “Old and new problems of the Russian domain registration market. Domain disputes. Development trends of the secondary market” that will be held at 5 pm – 7 pm on May 20 in Hall 3.
It is expected that the section will discuss, among other things, the influence of the new TLDs on the domain industry and possible establishment of a UDPR arbitration center in Russia, where cases will be heard in Russian, as well as the connection between new domain zones and the domains’ cost in the secondary market.
