The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the autonomous non-profit organization Digital Region in the Ryazan Region have signed a cooperation agreement to develop innovative technologies and implement them in the regional infrastructure. The document also calls for drafting and delivering digital literacy programs of Runet users.
The Agreement stipulates the following measures:
- holding joint competitions, quests, dictations and tournaments to popularize the use of modern information technologies and tools;
- holding joint events on data security and the use of digital technology in education;
- promoting digital literacy and technology skills among children, parents and the teaching community.
The parties plan to integrate the following two projects:
The project Explore the Internet & Govern It was developed by the Coordination Center to provide schoolchildren and university students with better knowledge of internet technologies and the opportunities they offer. The Digital Region also implemented the project Children.Digital which selects and supports children who are talented in mathematics, information and digital technologies. Educational games of the Explore the Internet & Govern It project will be available on the Children.Digital website and the students’ scores will be included in their online record books.
The parties are to go forward with their plans already in May, the first results to be presented in the next academic year.
