On April 15, an international conference, International Domain Disputes Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, will be streamed online on YouTube starting at 7 pm. The conference was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property.

The purpose of the conference is to help participants exchange research results, share practical and theoretical experience and strengthen international cooperation in the protection of branding tools (primarily trademarks) when they are used online and in domain disputes.

• Sergey Kopylov, Deputy Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ
• Maya Yevdokimova, Deputy President for Innovative Development and Science, Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property
• Anton Sergo, professor and doctor of law, Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property; president of the law firm, Internet and Law
• Darya Biryukova, Director of the International IP Competence Center
• Yevgeniya Korobenkova, Lead Expert, Directorate of International Cooperation, Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent)

The conference will cover the most topical issues pertaining to international domain disputes. The experts will discuss theoretical and practical aspects of executing a judgement issued by a foreign court in Russia. Copyright holders will receive advice on protecting their rights with the related authorities, substantiating due diligence with respect to owning domain rights, and find out if Russia needs its own arbitration center. Viewers will also learn about filing a lawsuit or traverse, executing a ruling and many other issues. The participants are open to an extensive dialogue.

Anyone is welcome to participate in the conference. The event will be of particular interest to law students specializing in intellectual property and practicing lawyers, patent attorneys and entrepreneurs.
