On October 15, the Real Project School expo, a competition of projects and applied research among school students based on real-life cases provided by employers, took place online for the first time, bringing together competition participants, partners and curators.
Fifty-five employers offered 77 real-life cases for students to explore in the following categories: programming, education, gamification, PR and marketing, robotics, ICT, program architecture and design, psychology, volunteering, engineering and others.
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is participating in the competition as an employer for the fifth time. “We suggested the children develop a gaming module scenario devoted to digital technology for the Study the Internet & Govern It educational project,” said Viktoria Bunchuk, the Coordination Center press secretary and head of social projects. “This is not the first time we set such an assignment for Real Project School participants. School teams have already taken part in the creation of the Study the Internet & Govern It project when they developed educational game scenarios, tests for the mobile app and questions for the educational quiz. We are very happy with such cooperation, for together we can make the project more contemporary and bring it close to the target audience.”
Since the expo was held online this year, all employers prepared short videos that briefed the participants on the assignment, the method of execution and deadlines. The video presentation by the Coordination Center is also available on the official YouTube channel of the Real Project School.
Teams can pick a case to work on and register until November 1. The project conference will take place in April 2021.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, the Real Project School is taking place for the ninth time. The competition is organized by the Moscow Department of Information Technology and the Department of Education, as well as the Economic Department at Lomonosov Moscow State University, the National University of Science and Technology MISiS, and the School of New Technologies, with the support from Oleg Deripaska’s Volnoe Delo Foundation. This year’s event is expected to bring together over 800 teams from 25 Russian regions.
