During ICANN 69 on October 13, the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) held a session to select candidates for the ccNSO Board. Irina Danelia, Deputy Director of the Coordination Center for TLD.RU/.РФ was among the nominees. She is the only candidate representing European countries.
During her remarks, Irina Danelia thanked everybody who had proposed and supported her nomination. She noted that, as an employee of the Coordination Center, she had been a member of the ICANN community for over a decade which gave her valuable experience, extensive knowledge and also skills. She sees being nominated for the ccNSO Board as an opportunity to be able to repay her “student loan” that she had been able to get over the past years and use her qualifications for the benefit of the entire community.
“If I become a member of the Board, I will do my best to make sure every voice is heard and not a single inquiry is left without a response,” she said.
Irina Danelia will join the ccNSO Board in 2021.
