News conference on applications for Runet Prize

A news conference to announce the submission of applications for the Runet Prize will be held at 11 am on October 14. TASS News Agency press center will be the venue.

The Runet Prize, a national award for contributions to the development of high technology and the internet, is the oldest and most prestigious prize in the Russian segment of the internet.

Contest details, categories and the award ceremony will be presented by:

  • Mikhail Seslavinsky, Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media (Rospechat)
  • Sergei Plugotarenko, Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC)
  • Andrey Vorobyov, Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ
  • Alexander Zhuravlyov, Association of Lawyers of Russia
  • Sergei Grebennikov, Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies (ROCIT)
  • Dmitry Zakharov, Director General, Moscow Digital School
  • Maxim Ksenzov (Deputy Minister, CDTO at the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation)
  • Irina Karikh (head of youth projects at the ANO "Russia is a country of opportunities")

Projects, organizations and resources that have contributed to the Runet development in 2019 and 2020 can submit applications via premiaruneta.ru.

The Digital Lawyer of the Year 2020 prize, which was established last year by RAEC, the Moscow Digital School and the Moscow branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, will be awarded within the framework of the Runet Prize.

The Digital Lawyer of the Year is a national prize awarded to lawyers and defense attorneys in the sphere of digital law. Its main goals are to enhance the status and prestige of lawyers as well as the professional standards in the legal community, create a comfortable environment for professional interaction, and promote legal culture in the field of digital law.

Applications for this prize will be accepted from lawyers and defense attorneys who have contributed to the development of digital law in Russia.

The news conference will be held online.

The annual Runet Prize has been awarded since 2004 to the best companies, projects and Runet mobile apps for their contribution to the development of the Russian segment of the internet. This is the only project in Russia launched to choose the very best in the field of high technology and the internet. Its aim is to bring together all the players and too pinpoint the latest trends in digital technology. It was established by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media (Rospechat). The project organizer is the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC).
