On September 21, Moscow will host the final event of the 24th Russian Internet Forum (RIF 2020), RIF in the City. It is Runet’s first offline event since March 2020. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has organized RIF in the City together with RAEC and ROCIT and invites everyone to participate.
The one-day forum will be divided into four parallel sections. There will be an exhibition area, a media center and a networking area in the hall of the Central House of Entrepreneurs. The forum program includes discussions, roundtable events, open interviews, award ceremonies, workshops and many other interesting events.
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ will hold several events at RIF in the City. At 11:30 am, the discussion “The future of the internet” will take place in the Glass Hall involving Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev. The same hall will also host a roundtable discussion, “E-commerce: an area of trust?” organized by Coordination Center experts, at 2:30 pm. It will feature lawyers specializing in internet law as well as representatives of the e-commerce industry and cybersecurity experts.
At 4 pm, Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev will give an open interview in the Grand Hall. He will talk about the achievements of the Russian domain industry, its future prospects and share the Coordination Center’s experience in ensuring the safety of the domain space.
The long-awaited awards ceremony of the National Youth Contest on ICT and Intellectual Property Rights (IP&IT LAW 2020) will take place in the media zone to reveal the final placing of the winners. Their names were announced back on March 25, and now they will finally receive their awards.
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ will have a mobile stand with accredited domain registrars in the exhibition zone.
Over 23 years, RIF has been held in the Moscow Region annually, in March or April. This year, due to the spread of COVID-19, RIF+CIB 2020 (initially scheduled for April 15-17, 2020) was moved online as RIF.Online. Between April 15 and August 20, over 150 online sections took place, with a total of 600 speakers and tens of thousands of attendees taking part.
The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ was RIF.Online’s partner involved in organizing the event, providing content and scheduling the program. The Coordination Center also held a number of interesting sections and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the .РФ Cyrillic ccTLD online.
