The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is accepting applications for the Internet Governance Summer School which is a joint project between the Coordination Center and the St. Petersburg State University School of International Relations. It is part of the Schools on Internet Governance global movement.
Classes will be taught online between August 1 and September 30, in two stages:
- Introduction (August 1-31): classes on the history and infrastructure of the internet, as well as the main principles and approaches to internet governance;
- Main study program (September 1-30): discussions and group projects with experts and instructors covering the major aspects of internet governance.
This course is for students, young researchers and teachers as well as professionals who would like to have a solid understanding of internet governance.
“Our main goal is to provide our students with the most complete information on what internet governance involves and help them develop skills necessary for competent participation in the work of international organizations dealing with these issues. After this summer school, our students will know how to speak at various Russian and international conferences and forums on internet governance,” said Internet Governance Summer School Coordinator Ilona Stadnik.
The course is free of charge. The deadline for applications is July 20.
