On June 3, 2020, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held its regular General Founders Meeting, at which it was decided to admit a new founder – the Russian Federation. In accordance with the Federal Law On Information, Information Technologies and Data Protection and Russian Government Directive No. 584-r dated March 9, 2020, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) will carry out the functions and powers of a founder on behalf of the Russian Federation.
Also, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media left the founders of the Coordination Center (based on its application).
The corresponding changes were made to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities on June 9 and 10, 2020.
The Communications Ministry joined the founders of the Coordination Center on December 3, 2015. A number of Coordination Center documents will be amended to reflect the changes in the near future.
