The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Academy of Innovative Education and Development have signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at enhancing the digital literacy of internet users, to teach them to effectively use IT services, to develop a positive and safe environment for children’s development, as well as to promote scientific and technological creativity.
The Coordination Center together with the Academy plan to do the following:
- Work together within the Explore the Internet & Govern It! educational project, in particular, hold online coaching and contests to promote the use of digital technologies;
- Organize joint research and educational projects on the use of information technology in education and competent use of internet technology by children, parents and teachers;
- Create and implement educational programs to enhance users’ digital literacy and their knowledge of the structure, opportunities and operating principles of the internet.
The Academy of Innovative Education and Development is an old partner of the Coordination Center. Their joint projects include the nationwide Family IT Marathon, which was held for the fourth time this year and brought together 70 family teams from 24 of the Russian regions, and a special supplement to the Vneshkolnik magazine about the Coordination Center’s educational projects.
