Journey around Runet, a drawing contest for children aged 6-12 dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Russian ccTLD .RU, has ended. It was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Karusel TV channel with information support from the .ДЕТИ domain and Smart Magazine. The contest involved 200 children from different parts of the country.
Participants were asked to draw a picture, map or comic strip about a journey around the internet. Each entrant could also earn extra points by watching five videos about the history and structure of the internet and then completing a test. Experts from the Coordination Center – Director Andrey Vorobyev, Georgy Georgievsky, Head of Department for work with registrars and users, and Yevgeny Pankov, special projects manager – starred in the videos, answering questions from the charming host Lera Tsareva.
The videos will always be available on the Karusel channel website in the special section called Journey around Runet. But you can take the test and get the Runet Expert certificate only until January 31, 2020.
According to the contest results, 10 winners were selected: five of them came out on top of the people’s vote, while the other five were chosen by the jury. In total, about 200 drawings were submitted to the contest, and all the entries were published on the project page.
