On November 6, registration will close for the 8th Explore the Internet & Govern It! Russian online championship. The main themes of the 2019 championship will be domains and domain industry management, IT technologies, and the 25th anniversary of the ccTLD .RU and Runet.
The competition is designed for students aged 18 and under, who can compete individually or in teams.
The championship will start on November 7 and last until November 28 online on the championship website, where the tournament module, consisting of 24 interactive tasks, will be available.
The results will be announced on December 5, 2019. The winners of the individual and team events will be awarded certificates and valuable prizes:
- 1st place - MyKronoz ZeRound 2 HR Elite smart watch
- 2nd place - Samsung Galaxy A10 smartphone
- 3rd place - XEON Funtastique RP800A 3D pen
Runner-up prizes will also go to the top 10 finishers. Each participant will receive a personalized online certificate.
The championship is held by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and Rostelecom with the support of Kaspersky Lab and REG.RU.
The championship is part of the Explore the Internet & Govern It! social and educational project , which aims to improve the digital literacy of novice internet users.
The project is based on the Knowledge educational portal, which includes interactive information about the history and structure of the internet, the principles of operation of key IT-services, the rules of safe online behavior, etc. Everyone can take part in an online quiz or download the free mobile app with tests to check and improve their knowledge.
