The sixth National Parents’ Meeting took place in St. Petersburg, at Academic Gymnasium No. 56. It was streamed online so that representatives in all Russian regions could follow the event remotely. The National Parents’ Association of Families’ Social Support and Protection of Family Values, with which the Coordination Center signed a cooperation agreement in 2018, was the general partner.
At the meeting, Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva received a special supplement to the magazine Vneshkolnik dedicated to the educational projects of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and Smart Internet Foundation. It contains results of national surveys on children’s runet, educational opportunities in the Explore the Internet & Govern It! project, and examples of game modules and questions dedicated to the 25th anniversary of .RU.
The Coordination Center has spoken about its educational projects at the National Parents’ Meeting many times. In 2017, Olga Vasilyeva received the manual “Practical psychology of security: Managing personal data on the internet” published by the Coordination Center along with the Internet Development Foundation and the Federal Institute for Education Development.
