The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has announced registration for the 8th Russian Online Championship, Explore the Internet and Govern It!. Students aged 18 years old and younger are invited to participate. The competition will include individual and team events. Registration will be open through November 6.
The tournament will start online on November 7 on the championship portal. The tournament module consists of six sets of interactive problems.
This year’s championship theme is domains and the domain industry: the problems are based on the principles of governance, the structure, technologies, history and trends of the industry; one of the game sets is dedicated to the .RU domain’s 25th anniversary. Preparations for the competitions will be held in the fall on the championship’s Facebook and VKontakte official pages.
Those wishing to beat a record or improve their scores in the championship are welcome to perform additional tasks such as prepare infographics about Runet or post championship news on social media, in school papers or local media outlets. Participants will be awarded bonus points for successful performance.
The championship results will be announced on December 5. The leaders in the individual and team events (first, second and third places) will be awarded diplomas and prizes (smart watches, smartphones or 3D pens); the top ten players will also get runner-up prizes from the championship partners.
