Izmailovo Park hosted Youth Day and the first Young Families Festival, #простоесчастье, on June 27. The festival was organized by the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy with support from the National Parents Association. The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ took part in the festival and held a Family IT Marathon for visitors.
Despite the rain, the festival attracted many visitors, both children and adults. Children and parents took part in the family competition on safe behavior on the internet at the park’s Chess and Checkers Pavilion, which hosted the Family IT Marathon. It was a trivia quiz from the history of the internet and the .RU domain held on the Explore the Internet & Govern It! interactive platform. In addition, visitors could test their digital skills.
The marathon participants received souvenirs marking the 25th anniversary of the .RU domain as well as table games and other practical gifts.
On May 23, 2018, an agreement was signed between the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the National Parents Association, aiming to provide cooperation in education, science and research in order to implement the state Russian family policy.
