On April 7, 2019, Russian national domain .RU will celebrate its 25th anniversary. It is one of the highlights of 2019 and the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ has prepared a series of anniversary events.
The First Inter-Regional Cyber Literacy Dictation for middle school students will be one of the earliest events and will take place soon after the 10th Russian Internet Governance Forum that opens the anniversary year. The dictation will take place on April 10 in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and seven more Russian cities.
The event was co-organized by the Russian State Children’s Library and the Central Bank of Russia with the support of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Smart Internet Foundation (.ДЕТИ domain). The cyber dictation will mark 25 years of Russia’s .RU domain and Runet in general.
Participating students will answer 20 questions about general rules of conduct online and dealing with online payments. The problems were developed by experts from FinCERT at the Central Bank, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Smart Internet Foundation. The main objective of the dictation is to test the cybersecurity knowledge of modern teenagers from different regions. The dictation results will be helpful in further projects to educate children about the competent use of all the opportunities provided by the internet.
