The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is updating the black list of names that are not available for registration as domain names in .RU and .РФ. The work is being carried out in partnership with the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RSAIP), and is based on the results of the academy’s research paper, The Development of Regulations on Forming a Black List of Domain Names in .RU and .РФ and the Update of the Black List of the Coordination Center of TLD .RU/.РФ.
On January 8, 2019, 16 names will be taken off the list of names that are not available for registration as domain names in the .RU and .РФ zone.
In accordance with paragraph 3.4.2 of the Rules of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ, the names removed from the black list will become available for registration as domain names in accordance with the procedure for domain names whose registration is canceled because of the expiration of their renewal term.
The list of names to be removed from the black list on January 18, 2019
On December 19, 2018, 112 names were included in the list of names not available for registration as domain names.
In accordance with the Rules of Domain Name Registration in .RU and .РФ, the transfer of administration rights is not allowed if the domain name is the same as the one on the black list (see paragraph 6.5.4 of the Rules).
In addition, in accordance with the Rules, a registrar can decide to cancel the registration of a domain name on the black list. In such a case, the registrar has to inform the domain name administrator no less than 10 days prior to the cancellation (paragraphs 3.1.5, 8.1.2, 8.2 of the Rules).
