Registration opens for Learn the Internet, Manage It! championship for school children

Registration for the 7th Learn the Internet, Manage It! national online championship for school students will be open from August 15 to November 5, 2018. The event is organized by Coordination Center for TLD .RU. and Rostelecom in association with the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC).

The contest is for children and teenagers under 18 who can compete as individuals or as a team.

The championship will kick off on November 6 on its official website. It will feature a tournament module of five sets of tasks. All the assignments are interactive – arcade games, quizzes, crosswords, puzzles and more. They vary by the degree of difficulty. The questions will be chosen randomly for each player.

The questions for this year’s championship cover nearly all the major IT development trends. Contestants will demonstrate their knowledge of robotics, artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain technology, virtual and augmented reality, telemedicine and cybersecurity. In September-October 2018, they will be able to prepare for the game on its official Facebook and Vkontakte pages.

As per tradition, students will be able to beat all records and improve their score through two extra assignments – either holding a preparatory online Learn the Internet, Manage It! tournament at school or publishing an article on the upcoming tournament on social media or in school or city press. Successful completion of any of these tasks will earn bonus points.

The7th Learn the Internet, Manage It! national online championship gives students an opportunity to test and improve their knowledge of new technologies by competing with strong tech-savvy rivals. This is an opportunity to set a record and win the champion’s title along with valuable prizes that will be useful in education and leisure. Gold winners will receive two-in-one laptops, silver medalists will get smartphones and bronze winners will take home a smartwatch.

The championship’s partners are Kaspersky Lab, EligoVision, the Internet of Things Association (IOTAS) and the New Technology School.
