IT volunteers to become members of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Youth Council

The Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ took part in the 2018 Electronic Week in Altai seventh international forum (2018 ENA) that was held in the Altai region on June 23–30. This is one of Altai’s largest IT events, a professional platform to exchange expertise and discuss current issues related to using IT technology in all areas.

Almost a thousand participants and specialists from Russian regions, mainly from the Altai Territory and Siberia, take part in the forum’s events, such as thematic venues, university and school competitions, expert sessions and workshops held at the Altai Technical State University and the Altai branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Barnaul. During the thematic session dedicated to educational platforms and mobile technology, the Coordination Center’s project manager Tatyana Novikova spoke about the center’s projects aimed at educating beginners and forming the necessary skills for the safe use of internet technology, such as the Explore the Internet & Govern It! project, supported by Rostelecom.

The forum program included the traditional meeting of the Altai young IT volunteers: a two-day-long practice-oriented seminar at the Altai Territory Kontoshino School attended by more than 20 experts and 150 school students living in the region. The Coordination Center presented the educational module of the Explore the Internet & Govern It! project, and the young participants had a chance to test their knowledge of the internet and security as well as compete in a quiz based on the game. Tatyana Novikova invited the most active to join the Coordination Center Youth Council. On June 30, the meeting concluded with a festival of internet security promotion teams. After the festival, the 2018 ENA’s results were summed up, followed by the closing ceremony.
