On June 8, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held its regular general shareholders’ meeting. Participants discussed and approved the report presented by Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev on the center’s performance last year.
Other issues were on the agenda, in particular, the 2017 accounting and financial documentation.
The shareholders also discussed the Coordination Center’s further participation in the Technical Center of Internet (TCI) and decided to end it by liquidating the TCI. According to the Charter, the General Shareholders’ Meeting is the supreme body of the Coordination Center. Its competence includes determining the Coordination Center’s priorities and principles for forming and using its property, appointing the center’s director and chief accountant, electing an auditor and an Internal Audit Commission, approving the center’s internal regulations and several other organizational issues.
The Coordination Center was established by six organizations: the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media; the Internet Technology Center; the Association of Document Telecommunications; the Internet Providers’ Union; the Russian Research Institute for the Development of Public Networks and the Internet Development Institute.
