Positive Content competition of internet projects kicks off

On June 1, Children’s Day, applications opened for the 8th Positive Content national competition of internet projects for children and youth. Taking part will be projects implemented no later than January 2018, including websites, blogs, media outlets, video channels, social network groups, computer and online games, as well as applications adapted for popular mobile platforms (Android, iOS and/or Windows). The competition will have nine main categories and five special categories.

The contest was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the Smart Internet Foundation, the Internet Development Fund and the Regional Public Internet Technology Center with the support of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications and REG.RU. The main partner is the Youth Parliament under the Russian State Duma.

Applications can be submitted on the www.positivecontent.ru website. The deadline is December 1, 2018. The finalists will be selected by December 10, 2018, and the award ceremony will take place in mid-December.

“The Coordination Center has supported the Positive Content competition for many years. We consider it very important for the development of the Russian segment of the net and for the creation of a safe and useful virtual space. We see how many of our winners are developing and becoming more popular with children and teenagers, as well as their parents and teachers. I am sure that this year we will see many interesting and inspiring projects,” said Coordination Center Director Andrey Vorobyev.
