On the International Day of Families, May 15, the results of the 2018 Family IT Marathon were tallied. The marathon involved 80 family teams from over 30 Russian regions.
The marathon tasks were based on the Learn the Internet, Manage It! interactive educational project for novice internet users. Children and their parents had to solve together a number of tasks devoted to information security.
The Islambai (village of Askarovo, Bashkortostan), Iskateli (village of Takmyk, Omsk Region), Improvizatsiya (Moscow) and Pokoleniye (Moscow) family teams scored the most points. The winners and participants will receive certificates from the organizers.
The IT Marathon is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and Rostelecom with the support of the .ДЕТИ domain and the Academy of Innovative Education and Development.
Its goal is to make children and parents more knowledgeable about the internet, raise their general digital literacy and improve IT skills.
