Following the vote of the Registrar Committee, Robert Gledenov (SaleNames) was elected the Chairman by a majority vote. He will replace Andrei Kondakov (Naunet SP) on this position. Robert Gledenov was elected the Chairman of the Registrar Committee two times in the past: in 2012 and 2014.
The Registrar Committee was established in 2004 to ensure the participation of registrars in development of organizational and technological issues of the registration system and support of domain names in the RU domain. Today the Registrar Committee deals with issues of two country-code domains - .RU and .РФ.

The Registrar Committee is one of the channels that allow obtaining a cross-section of opinions of the registrar community. Working together with the Registrar Committee makes it possible for us to fully take into account interests of all domain market participants”, said Andrey Vorobyev, CEO of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
