This year, the center established a special category, Information Security, to award companies and projects that have made a special contribution to the safe use of the Internet and development of a trusted digital environment. The prize went to FinCERT (Bank of Russia's Center for Monitoring and Responding to Computer Attacks in the Financial Sector); FinCERT CEO Artyom Kalashnikov accepted the award.

Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Director Andrei Vorobyev said information security is one of the key topics now, and the center pays special attention to it: “We are striving to create a trusted digital environment that will contribute to the stable development of Russia's digital economy.”

Kalashnikov added that the Internet is one of the Central Bank’s priorities: “We closely monitor the development of technology and promptly respond to all new risks. This allows us to look confidently into the future.”

The winners of the 7th national contest of Internet projects, Positive Content 2017, were also named at the ceremony; the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ is one of the contest organizers. This year, more than 500 web projects participated in Positive Content, including websites, video channels, media resources, social network communities, educational and gaming apps and blogs.
